Lefthand Canyon 10-01
I had been wanting to get out on a trail ride in CO since I had done some work to the truck to try it out, and when our realtor asked us if we would like to go, we jumped at the chance! My first real trailride in Colorado… Mike and his father, John, took us to a trail in Lefthand Canyon.
It was just our two vehicles -
Mike was driving his '89 YJ running 4:1 xfer case 4.88's w/ARB's front and rear turning 33" BFG A/Ts. He was trying out the new gears… and I got to try out his Warn winch!
I was driving my '93 Toy P/U running 5.29's w/ rear EZ-Locker and 33" TSLs.
There was a big "ramp" rock which provided some fun…
Then there was the big hill - it doesn't look too steep in the picture, but we had a tough time walking up on foot…
Mike went up first and didn't have any trouble at all…
I started up but didn't get very far… So I got to try out his winch! He and his dad hooked me up after I got tired of throwing dirt and pulled me up the rest of the way.
The view was well worth the effort!
We had a lot of fun, and are hoping to get out again soon!
